Please note: These distribution maps are intended for general informational purposes. The data were obtained from a variety of sources that used different techniques to detect the parasite. The watershed-level portrayals of the presence of whirling disease (HUC level 8) should not be interpreted to mean that the parasite is present in every sub-watershed. The Whirling Disease Initiative assumes no liability for the information provided.
