Black Tale: The Whirling Disease Invaders

A new documentary film is now available, produced by the Whirling Disease Initiative and the Montana State University MFA Program in Natural History Filmmaking. There are two films on this DVD, one at 26 minutes and one at 14 minutes in length. If you're interested in obtaining a copy of this film, email whirlingdisease@montana.edu.

Under the surface of seemingly tranquil waters lies an unseen threat. Here, the whirling disease parasite breeds trouble for trout in the streams and hatcheries of North America. While there is no silver bullet solution in sighe for whirling disease, research is yielding an array of promising management options. Join a team of dedicated scientists and anglers as they work to protect our fisheries from these devastating outbreaks. A film by Kristin Glover and Stefanie Misztal.
